Wexford Veterinary Hospital is excited to announce the availability of our new Pet Hotel**
The nearly 4000 sq. ft. luxury boarding facility is located at the rear of our current building with its own separate entrance and staff. Once all phases of the facility are completed, we will be able to house up to 100 cats and dogs in the new space. Our Fear Free certified veterinarians and kennel managers will be on site everyday to oversee the care and well being of each and every one of our guests.
Choose from spacious individual and family dog runs, value based cage settings, and even a cat condo housing complex designed for our more adventurous feline friends and their companions. We will also have a feline play & enrichment room as well as a completely enclosed canine exercise area. Grooming and daycare opportunities will be available in the near future.
Wexford Pet Hotel will happily provide blankets and beds of all shapes and sizes, and Kuranda raised cots for all of our guests comfort. You are also more then welcome to bring anything from home that might make your pet feel more comfortable including toys, blankets, and food. However, please be aware that we are not responsible for lost, damaged , or soiled items.
We will be feeding Purina EN in the kennel which is a premium easily digested maintenance diet. If you do want to bring your pet’s own food we recommend that you pre-measure it and put it in a Ziploc bag or a small Tupperware container. Please bring any prescription or special needs diets. Wet or refrigerated foods are acceptable however we cannot feed any form of raw diets in our facility.
If your pet is receiving a medication we will be happy to administer it at no additional charge. You will need to provide your pet’s medications and clear instructions for its use. If you forget to provide their medication and we carry it in our pharmacy, the hospital will be happy to dispense it as necessary. Please try to keep medications in original containers, especially if they are from different pharmacies , so that the staff can clearly identify them. In the event that medications have been removed from their original containers, please provide a detailed list including name, size, color and dose.
**The Pet Hotel will only be available for active and current patients of Wexford Veterinary Hospital, meaning pets which have been evaluated by one of our staff veterinarians within 12 months of their boarding reservation. Please be assured that in most cases, we will be able to accommodate boarding requests from established clients with non current pets but they will be required to receive a physical exam upon entry. The facility will not be available for non client use.
